Director’s MessageGazipur Agricultural University (GAU) recognizes that higher education must contribute meaningfully to the advancement of society and the nation. Ensuring quality, relevance, accountability, and continuous improvement is therefore a fundamental institutional priority. In pursuit of excellence in higher education, the University Grants Commission (UGC), through the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), introduced the concept of establishing an Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in universities. In line with this national initiative, the IQAC of GAU is committed to establishing and sustaining quality benchmarks across academic and administrative activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The IQAC supports GAU in assessing institutional strengths, identifying areas for improvement, addressing gaps, and enhancing the quality and standards of teaching, learning, research, academic programs, and institutional services through systematic evaluation, benchmarking, and quality assurance. The IQAC coordinates quality assurance activities across the University, promotes and shares good practices, facilitates external quality assessment and accreditation, and maintains liaison with the Strategic Planning & Quality Assurance (SPQA) Division of UGC. The IQAC will continue to provide guidance and support to all relevant units of GAU in their efforts toward the continuous improvement of academic and administrative quality and standards. Through collective commitment and a shared vision of excellence, GAU aspires to strengthen its position as a quality-driven, accountable, innovative, and globally recognized institution of higher education.
